Wondering how you could reduce your ecological footprint? Join us for a one-day conference at Ebony Forest on environmental education. Clueless about what Environmental Education is? Environmental Education is the process that helps individuals become more aware of their surroundings and acquire knowledge, skills, attitudes, experiences, and enthusiasm that will enable them to take individual and collective action to address current and future environmental concerns.
EcoMauritius.mu is pleased to share ecological courses, events and workshops so people can learn, discover and enjoy improving the environment. This event aims at different target groups ranging from children, youth, women, senior citizens, and any individual who benefits from the environment. This is to help achieve SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 13 – Climate Action.
The Ministry of Environment, Solid Waste Management, and Climate Change are working collaboratively with NGOs, international organizations, and the private sector on environmental matters. As they look into restoring and maintaining the ecosystem, ecological process, and preserving biodiversity. We believe these changes can only happen when we start with ourselves and with our own home, school, and work environments. Environmental Education encourages civic engagement, student leadership, and active learning. Youth are given the tools they need to speak up and make a difference at school and in their communities. Additionally, it also aids teachers in developing their own environmental expertise and instructional abilities.
