Ghassoul, pronounced R(h)assoul, has been used for millennia for body, hair and beauty
treatments and is originally from Jebel Ghassoul, Morocco.
Since several generations, this product has been known for and used to cure various
ailments and preserve the skin’s radiance. Back in the time, Ghassoul was already
mentioned and used for its regenerative, protective and healing properties.
Its preparation consisted of a whole ritual, secretly kept throughout generations and
passed on from mothers to daughters.
Ghassoul naturally has a powerful negative electromagnetic charge, while the majority of
toxins under the skin have a positive charge. This, plus its exceptional hydrophilic properties,
make Ghassoul treatments ideal for drawing impurities and detoxifying the skin; leaving it
silky soft after washing off the product.
This clay, due to its high ion exchange capacity, has detergent and degreasing
properties. Unlike other shampoos and soaps, it contains no surfactants and acts only by
absorption, thus preserving the hair, skin and mucous membranes.
Amongst all dermatological clays, Ghassoul has a unique characteristic which is of
containing the least aluminium oxide and calcium thus making the application around the
eyes possible.
