At Espace Maison, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Through our ‘Geste Vert’ program, we’re committed to protecting our environment and promoting green practices across Mauritius. Our stores feature dedicated recycling bins for plastic bottles, bulbs, and batteries, encouraging responsible disposal and recycling within our communities.
We believe in organic solutions for a healthier planet. That’s why we offer a range of organic fertilizers and support organic farming with non-GMO seeds. Our pest and soil management practices are entirely chemical-free, helping to foster a balanced ecosystem.
To reduce paper usage, we’ve implemented an e-ticketing system, making every transaction more eco-friendly. We’re also proud to introduce Berling, a line of eco-friendly paints that provide a sustainable choice for home improvement.
Our sustainability strategy extends to our product sourcing as well. Whenever possible, we choose local products, supporting Mauritian suppliers and reducing our carbon footprint. We source salt from Salines de Yemen, coal and gravel from the Baie du Cap estate, and locally sourced soil—all high-quality materials that contribute to our commitment to local sustainability.
