If you’re new to kombucha, you’ve come to the right place. Kombucha (often lovingly referred to as “booch”) has been around for thousands of years, growing in popularity as an everyday drink with tonnes of goodness.
At Remedy we are obsessed with creating the best darn booch going ‘round. We brew the old school way in small batches for 30 days using real tea leaves and a SCOBY, which stands for Symbiotic Culture Of (good) Bacteria and Yeast. The result is a flavourful, all-natural, sparkling bevvie that is packed with live cultures, tea polyphenols (aka antioxidants) and organic acids. Best of all it has no sugar, for real.

When brewing Remedy kombucha, raw organic sugar is used as a critical starter ingredient acting as food for the all-important live cultures. During our 30-day long-aged brewing process, all of this sugar is converted into healthy organic acids leaving no sugar (and we test each batch to ensure it).
Our kombucha is best served chilled, but they are a-ok if stored out of the fridge. This is because Remedy Kombucha naturally contains no sugar and our live cultures are super healthy, strong, and happy. No sugar means there’s no risk of refermentation. Healthy, strong, happy live cultures mean they stay alive throughout their shelf life. It’s a myth that all live cultures must undergo refrigeration at all times – fermentation happens in a warm environment, after all!
Strands or small pieces of our live kombucha SCOBY or ‘mother’ may appear in the bottle. While they may seem weird the first time you see them, rest assured, these are signs of a natural, healthy kombucha that is unpasteurized and full of goodness. They are perfectly normal and safe. It’s a good sign of a very healthy kombucha!
All of our drinks are non-alcoholic. When it comes to Remedy Kombucha, there can be a production of a trace amount of alcohol during the natural fermentation process. We thoroughly test every batch to ensure that this does not exceed 0.5% as per national standards for non-alcoholic drinks.
Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers have safely consumed fermented food and drinks for thousands of years. This includes kombucha. We test every batch to ensure it meets the highest food safety standards.
Each serving of Remedy Kombucha has less than 10mg of caffeine, which is very low. To put it into perspective, coffee can contain more than 100mg of caffeine depending on how robust the process of brewing is.
