Maccabee Forest– Tamarind Falls Half day mountain bike adventure
This exciting 3.5 hour mountain biking adventure can be enjoyed with your partner, friends and the family and consists of a multi surface approximate 30Km ride, from the meet-up point at the junction of Mare Longue rd. The age limit of this activity is of a minimum 16 years old and the biking trail is quite rough and mountainous, so this adventurous bike ride requires biking experience and a good fitness level!
The professional guide will accompany you all way during the trip, assuring topmost safety and he will share interesting facts about the surroundings, nature, the flora and help you discover the endemic birds of Mauritius such as the echo parakeet, pink pigeon, kestrel and more which can be spotted here. You can also enjoy amazing views of the waterfalls.
Each trip is carried out with a total respect towards nature and while making it a top priority to stress the importance of its preservation.
The trip will take you around some of the most breath-takingly beautiful places in Mauritius and you will get to learn more about the fauna and flora; making this a unique experience. You will also have the opportunity to take up some technical trails along Plaine Sophie and join the National Park along the Macchabee Ridge and admire some spectacular views!

Conditions:
• Validity: Voucher is valid for 60 days as from date of purchase
• Trips are still carried out under rain unless the safety is compromised & itinerary may change due to weather condition
• How to make a reservation:
Once payment completed, Customer will receive a Booking Confirmation by email
Customer must call Service Provider to make reservation (Phone number on Booking Confirmation)
Your reservation is not finalized until payment is complete and your date and time slot is confirmed directly with Service Provider
Reservation date and time is Subject to availability and request should be made at least 48 hours in advance
The Service Provider reserves the right to refuse carrying out the activity to any guest if any medical problems are present
• Lateness:
For late arrivals, the Service Provider may reduce their activity time (if applicable) or could apply a 100% cancellation fee
• Amendments:
Once you have confirmed a date and time with Activity and/or Service, any amendments will need to be confirmed between yourself and the Service Provider directly
• No Show:
If above Amendment Policy is not followed and if customer does not show up for reservation, 100% Cancellation Fee will apply
• Mauritian ID card or Resident permit must be shown upon arrival to benefit from the local price
Failure to do so will entitle the Service Provider to charge the current public rate or Tourist Rate
• All Prices displayed on EcoMauritius.mu are inclusive of all taxes and service fees
• Booking invoice Receipt must be produced to the Service Provider before embarking on the trip

09:15 – 12pm: | Enjoy an energetic, adventurous cycle within the protected, authentic island forest, around the Mare Longue lake and admiring the Tamarind Falls waterfalls.
- Note: The Service Provider does not provide cups nor drinking water
- We recommend that you should bring: Sport shoes or mountain bike shoes with your clip pedals, socks, sun cream, mosquito repellent, rain jacket, towel and change of clothes, hat, camera, binoculars, a reusable cup and bottle of water ( please try not to use plastic bottles and cups)
- Equipment: Spare tubes and pumps, helmets and professional lycra gloves, 1 pair of spd pedals available. Bikes in great and safe condition
