Don’t want to miss out on really good maple syrup in your kitchen cupboard? Then this organic and macrobiotic sweetener is a must-have. The taste of maple is slightly caramel-like. Maple syrup comes from the maple tree. This tree produces a sugary juice annually. They drain this in Canada every spring and slowly reduce it to syrup. What you end up with, is a delicious, plant-based alternative to honey or an unrefined substitute for sugar.
The difference between amber rich taste (grade A) and dark robust taste (grade C)? Grade C is darker brown and has a more intense, caramel-like maple flavor. Liquid ‘gold’!
Also available in 500 ml and 1 liter (both in glass carafe or jug) and grade A.
How to use it
Replace liquid sugars, such as honey and agave syrup, 1 to 1 with maple syrup. Replace 100 g of white or caster sugar with 65 ml of maple syrup.
How you keep it
After opening, store in the refrigerator until the expiration date.
